I was very disappointed to see a beloved restaurant, be reduced to high prices and terrible food. None of the food was fresh. The restaurant was dirty and clearly the ice cream is not made in house anymore.

Ordered the hot roast beef and it was a step below Arbys. Save your money and go somewhere else. Friend ordered a milkshake and got it 10 minutes after his meal.

GREAT Ice Cream. Plenty of flavors to choose from. I came here today with my wife after many years. My parents used to bring us (my sister & I) up to the Lakes Region every year when we were kids. We stayed at places close by and always stopped by here, sometimes within walking distance. It is just as I remembered it. Same nostalgic spinning sign. Keep up the great work!

Cute little spot off the highway, came in and ordered. Food took about 15-20 minutes which was long considering the place was empty and we ordered burgers. Burger was absolutely disgusting, clearly low quality and definitely from frozen. Burgers, fries and a drink cost almost $20 before tip. Fries were nice and crispy but jesus christ I can not overstate how bad the burger was, definitely a waste of money. Staff was nice though.

I live in town and have been a customer of Sawyers for over 20 years. We figured to give the new owners a chance to get their feet on the ground this year before visiting them for some fried seafood. (Our favorite.) Food was a disappointment. The fried fish had a strange spicy aftertaste. Same with the scallops in the scallop roll. Cole slaw was also strange tasting. Even the chocolate frappes were nothing to write home about. Overall rating is below a 2.

Never been before. So glad they are open now. The food is very good and their ice cream in awesome. Very attentive staff with both Inside and outside service.

Should have know something had changed when we pulled into an almost empty parking lot on a Saturday afternoon in prime season. Food was totally changed from past years and terrible taste and quality. Service when ordering was rude and could not communicate with us. Unfortunately nothing good lasts forever. Please dont make the same mistake as we did.

Can t count the number of times I ve been here over the last ~25 years and it s certainly in the sorriest state I ve ever seen. Removing the booths in favor of metal chairs and small tables was a downer for the atmosphere. Food still decent enough, nothing special. Felt like lots fewer options than in the past now it feels like. In our most recent trip they have $20 lobster rolls advertised on their sign outside but do not honor the deal which was a big turnoff. Ice cream still overpriced but reasonably consistent with other places around.

I cant say enough kind words about Serena the manager who returned my wallet to me and even went out of her way to mail it, saving me many hours in the car retrieving it. They also make a LIFE CHANGING orange creamsicle shake. THANK YOU! THANK YOU SERENA!!! You are a wonderful human being!

Scallops were very good, tender, but the fried clams were overcooked. I started to take it back in, for $42, but decided against it. Our server was good part of the sign board was out, there were no paper menus, so we had to go outside and wait for the dinner menu to come around on the outside signage and could not accurately determine the price. I m aware that changed ownership a couple years ago, not as I remember it now. What s up with the Cajun spicy batter on the seafood?
